Y Ddraig are always on the lookout for new recruits. We are after enthusiastic, adventurous members willing to join us on summer weekends at castles and events around the country, which will include small skirmishes, pitched battles and living history displays.
Prospective new members are welcome to come down to Monday evening training and try it out, the first session is free. We advise committing intially for a few weeks in order to pick-up the basics and really get a feel for the hobby. Whilst Y Ddraig are interested in all aspects of Viking-life, we are primarily a combat group. However those with other interests, such as craftsmen, are also welcome.
If you'd like to hire Y Ddraig for a fete, open day or history event then please contact the group Jarl for a quote. We can cater for events from single-person 'meet a Viking' school-visits, to smaller skirmishes with our living history encampment. This could even involve arranging full battles of 100 warriors aside and a huge encampment through referring you on to our national society co-ordinators.
